The Calm

I painted this piece at a time where I was purely focused on representation and understanding color to a greater height. Practice of painting what I see is what helps me break into abstraction and seeing things in a more out of the box length. This painting sources a sort of calm, a peaceful quality, that is sometimes missing from my everyday life. I hence chose to create it to remind me to step back and smell the roses.
