                                                   Distance

24 x 36 in. Mixed Media on Canvas
                                                                                                       Original- $575

In this piece, I'm bring a more optimistic vision to the concept of someone walking away from you. If you notice the dark blue abstract scribbling to the side of the painting, getting smaller and smaller as it approaches the water towards the top, they denote a person walking away from where you stand. I usually don't explain exactly what the elements in my paintings represent, but I feel it crucial to do so for this one. I was inspired by someone close to me, walking towards the beach, as I lay on the hammock staring. This happened many years ago but I still have this memory ingrained deep within me. It was what I felt when I was watching this happen. All the love I have and how much I appreciate this person was all I could think about as I stared. Yes, the distance grew between us as the figure walks towards the great ocean, but I knew this didn't change anything between us. Forever.
