I gravitate towards creating images that are depictions of new realities, something that usually holds a sense of mystery within them. I make these paintings to escape into a world that doesn't identify or recognize me in any way so I feel safe and comforted as I paint and release myself into the depths of the piece. My emotions are raw within the lengths of the canvas as I feel like I can be my authentic self here as opposed to real life constrained by societal norms. I just feel so liberated, it's beyond wonderful. I am truly myself only with color and texture. My inspiration is usually sourced from external elements as well as an internal world of pure imagination.
